With more than 100 full-time title abstractors on staff, Oil & Gas Title Abstracting provides timely and dependable abstracting services for law firms that provide title opinions in the Tri-State Region.

Patricia A. Halvin, Chief Operating Officer

Patty co-founded OGTA in 2007 and has executive authority over all company operations. With 30 years of title experience, Patty's resume includes title research for real estate, oil, gas and coal in the tri-state area. Closely involved in process improvement, abstracting procedures, mapping, review and invoicing, Patty leads OGTA with a hands-on management style and a strong belief in her dedicated team.

Marie Koon, Operations Manager

Marie manages abstracting and operations under the direction of Patty Halvin. A graduate of Laurel Business Institute with specialized associates degrees in Computer Management and Accounting and Business Management, Marie came to OGTA with over 35 years of management experience in both commercial and specialized business settings. Additionally, Marie's experience includes six years of multi-county oil and gas abstracting experience, in both Lease and Certified Title. Marie firmly believes that being a good manager depends on the ability to listen, respect and respond.

Kellye Kimberland, Senior Reviewer & Coal Specialist

Kellye has twenty eight years experience with title work. She began her abstracting career in 1985. In that time, Kellye has worked with a vast array of attorneys, title insurance companies, as well as oil and gas companies. Kellye's areas of expertise include coal, surface, oil and gas companies. Kellye is our Senior Reviewer and Coal Specialist. Kellye oversees all projects relating to coal, and due diligence projects, while maintaining her role as a reviewer. She is always available to assist abstractors, unit managers and reviewers with title issues. Kellye takes on every task with a great deal of enthusiasm and a positive attitude that is appreciated among her colleagues.

Lori Naser, Marketing & Training Coordinator and HR Liaison

Lori began her career with OGTA in the spring of 2008 as a Title Abstractor. Later in her career, Lori assumed the role as the Paralegal for the company; was promoted to Recruiting and Training Coordinator and is now OGTA's Marketing and Tranining Coordinator. As the Training Coordinator, Lori is responsible for organizing and instructing the abstractor training class. For Marketing she coordinates activities, such as upholding client relationships and interacts with prospective clients. Additionally, Lori assists with OGTA's Human Resources Department with tasks specific to empoloyee needs. Lori earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with Concentration in Psychology and a minor in Spanish from Duquesne University. She also earned her Master's Degree from California University of Pennsylvania specializing in Reading.

Emily Simms, Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Emily manages the GIS Department at OGTA. She has a master of arts in Geography concentrating in Geographic Information Systems from Western Michigan University and has a BS in Mathematics from Marietta College. Emily's experience working with large spatial datasets adds depth to the OGTA team. Her professional background includes multiple local governmental agencies where she produced accurate "as built" infrastructure database systems. Emily's experience includes working with municipal utility datasets as well as property parcel boundary data and NPDES datasets.
